OrtoLine Research and Production Company was founded in 2002 and specializes in the development and manufacture of equipment and devices for traumatology and orthopedics. The company’s team consists of specialists in the fields of mechanical and mathematical sciences, physics, electronics, programming and medicine.
The founder of OrtoLine, the main developer and ideological inspirer is Semyon Abramovich Schutz (1947-2021), a well—known Siberian scientist, Ph.D., author of dozens of patents for inventions, articles in domestic and foreign medical and technical journals. S.A. Schuts devoted his entire life to the development and creation of useful orthopedic devices and equipment.
One of the most sought–after developments of the company is the corrective brace UZOR. It was born after careful scientific and methodological studies and repeatedly proven effectiveness of correction, including the formation of the very concept of “correction effectiveness”.
For many years, OrtoLine has collaborated with the Novosibirsk NIITO named after Ya.L. Tsivyan, making a lot of useful patented devices for orthopedics. The children of the sanatorium boarding school for children with spinal diseases were dressed in UZOR braces. The results were so amazing that it became clear that with the advent of the UZOR brace, the conservative treatment of pathological spinal deformities in Siberia has reached a new qualitative level. Then, when the focus of NIITO’s interests changed, the company began independent development throughout the country.

Another high–tech area of OrtoLine is the method of three-dimensional X-ray diagnostics of pathologically deformed spine in children and adolescents. This is a method that makes it possible to mathematically accurately determine the severity of spinal deformity based on a number of objective parameters. The method is patented, and any doctor can use the program in which this method is implemented.
The mistake of the Cobb angle method, which has been used for more than half a century for diagnosis, has been proven.
Unfortunately, Semyon Abramovich died in 2021, but his business continues to live and develop thanks to his students and followers. During his life, he managed to do a lot to correct spinal deformities without surgery in thousands of children.
At the moment, OrtoLine is headed by Boris Semyonovich Schutz, the son and student of Semyon Abramovich.
About creating the UZOR brace.
From the very first days of the development of this brace, the OrtoLine research team set a goal to create an effective device for correcting pathological deformities of the spine, the result of which is confirmed by the methods of use.
The time of methodical testing was several times longer than the development period of the brace.
In the process, it was necessary to create:
– force correction schemes for all types of deformations;
– technologies for changing the force circuit of the brace (if required);
– favorable technical conditions for the implementation of the UZOR brace of a certain type of force model;
– the technology of repair work.
During the design of the brace, techniques for modeling arches in various areas of the spinal were used, and the wearing of a corrective brace by women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, as well as for spinal diseases such as osteochondrosis, was tested.
A unique software has been developed to assess the severity of the deformation, taking into account a number of parameters. Thanks to a team of highly qualified developers, hundreds of people with spinal deformities have received effective help.
