The main difference between this brace and other orthopedic devices is its design features and application properties:
– the base of the brace is a sturdy frame and force straps that create corrective forces in 3 planes (frontal, sagittal and horizontal);
– minimum area of contact with the torso;
– easy to operate and comfortable to wear – the brace can be easily removed and put on if needed (hygiene procedures, physical therapy);
– low weight (up to 1.5 kg);
– aesthetic visual appearance (it can be easily hidden under clothes);
– it is characterized by high efficiency – the effect on the body is carried out simultaneously in 3 planes;
– adjustment of the length of the loading straps is provided for mobile support of optimal efforts;
– no restriction on motor function – it does not restrict movement and does not make breathing difficult;
– the technological development of the brace allows you to quickly modify the force load scheme;
– the brace is designed to be 10-14 cm tall, with an average operating period of 1.5-2 years;
– this is the only type of brace recommended by ATOR for kyphotic and kyphoscoliotic spinal deformities.
For 23 years, the UZOR corrective brace has been used by more than 3,000 patients with various spinal deformities. The brace has shown high effectiveness in correcting scoliosis and kyphosis of the spine of varying degrees:
- 5-9 years – complete elimination or significant reduction of deformation;
- 10-12 years – the possibility of reducing deformation by 1-2 degrees;
- 13-15 years – an opportunity to restrain the development of deformity and reduce it by 1 degree;
- 15 years and later – confident correction of kyphotic deformities: round back, gross kyphosis, Scheuermann-Mau disease.
With the active growth of the child, the brace inhibits the further development of deformation processes and improves the cosmetic appearance of the body.
